Team CytoSport Goes for it at 24 Heures Du Mans Lead by Company CEO and National Racing Champion Greg Pickett
On June 14th and 15th, 2008, Greg Pickett, Founder & CEO of CytoSport, the makers of Muscle Milk, will make his dream come true, racing for the first time at the 24 Heures Du Mans. Pickett, who holds the distinction of being the only driver in the Trans-Am series to win a race in each of the last four decades, is the lead driver of Team CytoSport's Lola LMP 1 race car, and is joined by internationally acclaimed drivers, Klaus Graf, a German National, and Jan Lammers, a Dutch National and 1998 race winner.
"As the oldest starter in the race's distinguished history, it is because of the increased nutritional benefits of Muscle Milk, as well as our development of high performance products for high performing individuals, that I am prepared for the rigor of this race," says Pickett.
"Competing in LeMans will be a culmination of my more than 40 year racing career, where I will have the honor of being surrounded by my family, watching the glorious pageantry of LeMans, knowing that my extensive training and use of products that I believe in, have allowed me to race against the best in Motor Sports."
In addition to his regular use of Muscle Milk products that deliver essential vitamins, nutrients and energy, Pickett spent more than 50 hours in a simulator to increase his mental focus, and worked with football great Bill Romanowski to be at peak physical shape for the grueling 24 hour race.
24 Heures Du Mans offers Pickett a rare opportunity to introduce the Muscle Milk brand to an international audience. As one of only a handful of American owned and operated teams at the race, Team CytoSport's 800 horse power race car will exceed speeds of 215 MPH during the event and will be supported by a crew of 40.
Muscle Milk offers a complete line of nutritionally smart powders, shakes, and bars and is the number one selling protein product at GNC stores nationally. Muscle Milk has been enjoyed by celebrities including Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck and numerous professional athletes including 2007 "Rookies of the Year" in football, baseball and basketball respectively Adrian Peterson, Ryan Braun, and Brandon Roy.
