Audi building new car after crash

Audi has a spare tub with them and it seems that they are going to build a new car for Kristensen, Di Grassi, and Duval. However, Duval's current physical state is still in question.

As most have heard by now by now, the original No. 1 car was obliterated in a practice crash earlier today. Part of the front end seems to be the only salvageable part from the machine, if even that.

The Audi team has reported that Duval only suffered scratches and no broken bones. After undergoing further tests, the ACO and doctors decided that he should not race. Marc Gene will serve as his replacement.

UPDATE: Less than a day after the original car was ripped in half and completely destroyed, the team has amazingly built a brand new No. 1 car. The machine will take part in qualifying later today, thanks to the incredible job the crew did overnight.
