Following weeks of intense preparation for the 80th running of the endurance classic the ADR-Delta Oreca Nissan car has been working perfectly during both days of qualifying sessions. The team has been encouraged by its performance over the course.

In the final qualifying session on Thursday night John Martin drove a perfect lap, and claimed the LMP2 class pole position with a fast lap time of 3:38.181.

Also Jan Charouz did a good job. Before Martin’s fastest lap the Czech driver maintained the 5th position for ADR-Delta team. Charouz was little bit disappointed, he wasn’t lucky for a free lap as he was convinced better time would have been possible.

Jan Charouz: “Le Mans qualifying result much depends on traffic on track. I hadn’t good luck for a free lap. However, more important is John drove a flawless lap and claimed pole position in the LMP2 category for the team. It is a great feeling and prestigious matter, but ahead of us is a bigger task, the race. I feel well prepared for it.”

John Martin: “I feel slightly giddy! To claim pole at Le Mans is a dream. I was on-track for a four lap run and I set the time on lap three. Thanks to all the guys at ADR-Delta, they gave me a great car for my shot at pole tonight and we all feel pretty good right now!”

Alan Docking, Team Principal: “That was something quite special by John this evening. He managed to find space on a busy track and was able to set the pole time on the last lap available to him. We are all very proud to have our car on pole position for the Le Mans 24-Hour Race.”
