Sharpe Secures Seat for Le Mans 24hrs

British sports car racer Adam Sharpe will drive the works Morgan Aero 8 at the 2004 Le Mans 24hour race in June after the Morgan Works Race Team today secured its place in the race.

Still buzzing from his finish at the Sebring 12 Hours ALMS event in the Morgan, Sharpe is ready for the 24 hour challenge.

"I am delighted that the entry has been confirmed and we must work hard now to prepare for the preliminary tests at Le Mans at the end of April. The race at Sebring has given me an insight into endurance racing and I am physically prepared."

Sharpe, currently studying for a Technology degree at Oxford Brookes University looks forward to the challenge ahead.

"We have a good platform on which to build. I have no doubt that we can develop the Morgan Aero 8 GT into a car capable of competing against the best in class."

"The Morgan Le Mans project offers tremendous opportunity and I am proud to be a part of this British adventure."
