THOMAS RETURNS TO KARTING ACTION THIS WEEKEND
"Junior looks to tame New Castle Motorsports Park"
August 24, 2009 -- After scoring multiple podium results and several victories in his 600cc Mini Sprint, Oklahoma pilot Tyler Thomas will return to his Woltjer powered Top Kart for the fourth round of the World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturer's Cup this coming weekend at the New Castle Motorsports Park. With the goal of victory on his mind, Thomas will do battle in two Yamaha and two HPV powered classes throughout the three day event weekend.
After scoring podium results at the Snap-on Stars of Karting Series events in Sonoma, California and the Championship Karting International race at New Castle Motorsports Park, Tyler Thomas and Tyler Thomas Motorsports shifted their focus to their sprint car program throughout the summer months. Having great success along the way, Thomas has claimed multiple victories as well as had a six race podium streak as he traveled to events throughout the Midwest.
"This year has been good for us," stated Thomas. "I have been behind the wheel of a lot of different rides this year and the success has been good. I love the New Castle facility and the WKA program, and my dad and I had this on our schedule since the beginning of the season."
With no pressure on gaining championship points or scoring good results towards the series title, Thomas will be in attendance and will stop nothing short of victory.
"I just want to go and win this weekend," added Thomas. "I want to have a good time, have fun and win and am determined to do that this weekend."
