"Giving our young drivers a chance to compete abroad is an experience of a lifetime," stated Snap-on Stars of Karting Series president Alan Rudolph. "We are the only national championship traveling series that North America has to offer. We provide racing competition that is second to none, and we gladly welcome our friends from the Formula Kart Stars UK Program."
Rudolph continued, "This is just another way that we are working with our series supporters and giving back to the karting community. I would like to personally thank Carolynn Hoy for her hard work in starting this exchange program in 2008 that we hope to continue for years to come."
Snap-on Stars of Karting Series drivers selected to compete in the Formula Kart Stars UK program will do so at the PF International Circuit in Grantham, England. With the nearest airport being London Heathrow International Airport, drivers will have the opportunity to experience one of the largest cities in the world throughout their travel.
"We are absolutely delighted that we are once again running our exchange driver program and that the program has been extended to include drivers from the KF2 and KF3 classes," explained Formula Kart Stars Executive Director Carolynn Hoy. "Our three young drivers last year really enjoyed the experience. We just loved the venue at Las Vegas, Wow! However, your drivers will be joining us at PF International, the UK's only international track and our flagship circuit, and I know that the U.S. drivers will enjoy it."
Hoy continued to say, "My thanks to the Snap on Stars of Karting team for making my idea of a driver exchange work so well and for the hospitality you extended to our drivers and my team. We are all looking forward to joining you at New Castle Motorsport Park in May and to welcome your drivers to PFI in July."
Always caring for the education of their drivers, the Snap-on Stars of Karting Series will ask each driver looking to compete overseas to complete a letter to series President Alan Rudolph. The letter should be sent via e-mail to Media@StarsOfKarting.com by the deadline date of Friday May 22, 2009 and include the answers to the following questions:
