Local Option Classes Now Set For Dexter Dirt Grand National

06.09.2009 -- As national competitors on the Briggs & Stratton Speedway Dirt Series prepare for the second race of the five-race national program, local racers can also join in on a full weekend of action June 26-28 at Dexter Raceway in Georgia as part of the Jimmy Rivers Performance Works Grand Nationals.

While already boasting 23 national point classes, as well as the Briggs Animal Heavy Money Class, two Local Option classes will also be a part of the weekend's festivities. Man Cup Zoom Zoom Nationals To Feature Live Video Webcast At Road America

06.09.2009 (Indianapolis) -- RaceFanRadio president and CEO Charlie Brown has confirmed the Internet media outlet will continue an ongoing collaboration with SpeedcastTV.com for a live video webcast of the WKA George Kugler / Bridgestone Manufacturer's Cup Zoom Zoom Nationals at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis., the weekend of July 10-12, 2009.

"We are in our third season with our media partners at RaceFanRadio.com and can't wait to bring the guys from SpeedcastTV to Road America," said WKA executive director Van Gilder. "There are a lot of great things happening at WKA and elevating our media coverage is a high priority for our sponsors, teams and members."

The multi-camera webcast will continue the trend to bring high quality video streaming into the karting industry while incorporating "network TV-type production" with enhanced graphics, live timing and scoring and pre-produced video packages among numerous other broadcast elements. As mentioned, the video production company collaborating on the project is Michigan-based SpeedcastTV.com, a veteran of numerous road racing and karting projects over the last three years.

SpeedcastTV President Clark Cambern said, "SpeedcastTV is on the cutting-edge of online racing video, and I'm very excited to be partnering with a karting series and radio team that are also pushing the envelope. Karting offers some of the best racing around and we're going to continue to elevate the coverage that the sport deserves."

A complete broadcast schedule will be made available on RaceFanRadio.com and SpeedcastTV.com as fans can tune in for the live video call of Saturday and Sunday's qualifying, heats and finals. Live pre- and post-race coverage will include the entire weekend's activities with interviews with the racers making the headlines.

An extremely limited number of sponsors will receive a lucrative added value as each ad package includes Live and On-Demand insertion during the broadcast, which will be viewed by over 25,000 karting fans. Please contact Ray Verhelst at 702.545.5822 or RayVerhelst@RaceFanRadio.com for more information regarding this.

Divisional Racing Heating Up As WKA Holds Its First National Race In Over A Month

06.09.2009 -- WKA will hold its first national race in over a month this weekend when the Dunlop Tire National Road Racing Series hits the track at the famed Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The Mid-Ohio Grand National event marks the first of two national events in June -- the second being stop three on the Briggs & Stratton Speedway Dirt Series June 26-28 at Georgia's Dexter Raceway.

But national events are not the only June happenings in the karting world; in fact, there is enough divisional kart racing going on this weekend to give just every racer an opportunity to get some competitive laps in.

In all, eight WKA divisional events are scheduled Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14. The events comprise seven states -- New York, Ohio, Delaware, South Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey -- and three forms of kart racing -- dirt, pavement and sprint.

A complete listing of this weekend's divisional events can be found below. A complete listing of all 2009 divisional schedules can be found by clicking on the following link, www.worldkarting.com/pg/series/div.html.
