WKA Road Racers Return to Summit Point

05.06.2008 -- Following a two-year hiatus, WKA road racers will make their way to Summit Point Raceway in Summit Point, WV this weekend for stop number three of the eight-race WKA / Dunlop Tire National Road Racing Series driven by Mazda.

While rapidly rising fuel prices continue to plague the economy, it won't stop the dedicated road racers. Racing will be action-packed and on-edge with the combined competition of the WKA national drivers and the WKC regulars.

The Woodbridge Kart Club hosted event will kick off the weekend with sponsor and competitor load-in starting at approximately 6pm on Thursday, May 8th. Pre-entry pickup and pre-race tech will be open Thursday evening to help expedite the pre-race check-in process. Friday's practice day will end with several local option races followed by two full days of racing on Saturday and Sunday. WKC's Saturday Night Social will be a Virginia Ham Dinner and all Mom's present will be honored Sunday in recognition of Mother's Day.
