WKA Honors Heartland Champions
The WKA Heartland year-end awards banquet will be held February 23, 2008 at the Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. This banquet will encompass both the Bully Clutches Heartland Speedway Dirt Series as well as the Heartland Speedway Pavement Series.
WKA President Rick Dresang, former WKA Vice President Kenny Venberg, WKA District 1 Trustee Jim Savoren, WKA Director of Finance Sissy Mendenhall, WKA Heartland Tech Official Steve Vermeer and Jamaica Raceway owner and WKA Series Official Randy Perkins will be on hand to recognize the class winners. Along with recognition of the 2007 class champions there will be numerous special awards to honor various competitors as well as honoring a 2007 season Triple Crown Champions Justin Fickel and Jake Blackhurst.
Banquet doors to Iowa Speedway's Newton Club will open at 6:30pm with dinner being served at 7:00pm. The awards ceremony will commence at 8:00pm. Limited tickets for the dinner will be available at the door for $30 per person.

WKA On Display At The '08 Kart Expo International
WKA will once again participate in the KMI hosted Kart Expo International trade show, February 23 and 24th at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois. Representing WKA will be Van Gilder, Marie Borsuk, Buddy Long, Michael Davis, Jerry Cole, and Josh Schiffler. Stop by booths 210-212 to say hello. In addition to being on hand for the trade show, WKA will also be hosting an SFI 2-cycle Tech Certification seminar, which will take place from 12:00 to 5:00 PM. If you race in the Briggs & Stratton Speedway Dirt Series and won a class during Daytona KartWeek at Volusia, unfortunately you did not receive a winner's questionnaire form.
