Evan Keresi was the first to score victories in two classes at the North American Sprint Karting Championships hosted by the World Karting Association at Lowe's Motor Speedway this past weekend. Evan, 11 years old from Dallas, NC qualified on top in both Briggs Sportsman 1 classes on Saturday and followed it up with wins in the heat races later in the day. The combination of setting fast time and wins gave him the pole position for the finals on Sunday.

With power provided by Robinson Speed Shop, the Torco Racing Oils / SMC Clutches driver took the green flag and led all laps in both final races with a 3.5 second lead over second place to take the checkers at the end. Evan said "my setup was almost perfect for today's track conditions and being consistent was key to winning today." Evan will be returning to Lowe's over the Thanksgiving weekend for the final race of the WKA Gold Cup series and with a win there, he has a chance to win the national points championship for the 2000 season.
