The Indianapolis 500 2nd Annual Karting Promotion Opportunity
Seattle, Washington- (May 30, 2008) - The Snap-On Stars of Karting, MRP Motorsport, First Kart USA, and Topkart USA traveled to Indianapolis on May 25th, 2008 for the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500, where thousands of race fans received great exposure to the world of karting. With over half of the 33 Indy 500 racers using karting as a gateway into the IRL it was a spectacular event for karting promotions.
In the heart of the Indy Fan Zone, karting news and information was up for grabs. MRP introduced their state of the art Junior Development Program that starts kids in a Speed School as young as age 4 in a Birel chassis Kid Kart and a Rotax Kart Package. Brent Ebbert, a representative from MRP, stated, "We start out next driving champions as young as age 4 and as for everyone else it is never too late to start." Another Great display was a Cadet chassis provided by Grand Products. To top it off a TaG chassis and TaG ICC karting package was provided by First Kart and Italian Motors for the TaG ICC motor.
On site promoting the Premier National Series was Mykala Terrel, Marketing and PR Manager, and Matt Long, Official Starter for the Snap-On Stars of Karting. Free Admission passes to the Mazda Race of the Americas at New Castle, Indiana were distributed along with lots of information on how to get started in karting as well as getting involved in racing with the Snap-On Stars of Karting series. "It was very exciting to see and hear the tremendous interest about the karting world. The responses we received from all the different age groups of people wanting to know about how to get started racing was truly amazing. We are keeping are engines fired-up for next year's Indy 500 and the opportunity to continue promoting the world of karting to all race fans," expressed Mykala Terrel.
