PAUL ZALUD SITS IN ON PRI ROUND TABLE
As an industry leader and veteran karting promoter, Snap-on Stars of Karting Series President Paul Zalud was a lead member in the Performance Racing Industry round table discussion that took place at 1:30pm today. Zalud joins several other industry leaders including Joie Chitwood (President and COO of Indianapolis Motor Speedway), Cruz Pedregon (NHRA Team Owner), Glen Schrader (NASCAR), Kevin Miller (USAC CEO and President), Ritchie Lewis (Lucas Oil Late Model), Scooter Brothers (Director of R&D Competition Cams), Townsend Bell (IndyCar) and Bob Sargent (Track Enterprises) and moderated by NASCAR's Jeff Hammond.
Discussing the state of motorsports in today's times and looking forward to the future, the PRI Round Table Panel showed the enthusiasm and excitement as we head into 2009.
Discussing the karting market and the Snap-on Stars of Karting Series, Zalud talked about the need of the Snap-on Stars of Karting and all series to cut costs and put in place measures that a few years ago may have been perceived as too extreme in order to cut costs.
"It is always cool to be sitting in on a discussion like this," stated Paul Zalud. "Last year I had a blast and this year was just as good. I look forward to future panel discussions. This is the perfect way to communicate and promote karting to the mainstream media and to have big name guys like this to discuss karting with is truly incredible."
With the round table discussion now behind us, the Snap-on Stars of Karting Series looks forward to the opening ceremonies and breakfast on Thursday that will promote karting even more with drivers Max Papis, Michael Valiante and eKartingNews.com's Rob Howden. Later on that evening, the PRI All-Stars Karting Classic will take place in front of thousands of fans adjacent to the Orange County Convention center,
With drivers including AJ Allmendinger, Marco Andretti, Townsend Bell, Antron Brown, Ron Capps, Ed Carpenter, Cristiano Da Matta, Joey Hand, Bryan Herta, Jan Heylen, Jay Howard, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Jamie McMurray, Vitor Meira, Oswaldo Negri, Max Papis, Nelson Phillipe, Will Power, Buddy Rice, Scott Speed, Alex Tagliani and Dan Wheldon already confirmed for action in the Masters division, December 11th is set to be a very special night.
