FIRSTKART.COM LOOKS FOR VICTORIES IN WISCONSIN
"Drivers look to continue momentum from Utah and New Castle"
Brownsburg, IN. -- July 31, 2007 -- First Kart North America and First Kart USA along with the Firstkart.com race team are headed to Shawano, Wisconsin to attend the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by IndyCar Series event. FirstKart.com drivers will look to continue the success and strong runs at Miller Motorsports Park to improve their positions in the hunt for the overall national championship.
Competing under the FirstKart.com Race Team tent will be:
Brendan Langlois -- JICA - First/Woltjer Parilla
Spencer Pigot -- JICA -- First/Woltjer Parilla
Phil De La O -- JICA -- First/Woltjer Parilla
James Michael Sullivan -- Cadet -- First/Pitts
Zach Beard -- Spec Racer -- First/Adkins Parilla
Alan Rudolph -- ICC -- First/SRA TM
Current JICA East division point leader Brendan Langlois enters USA International Raceway looking to continue the success that he found in the first east event. Joining Langlois in the Junior Intercontinental A (JICA) class are rookie pilots Spencer Pigot and Phil De La O. Pigot currently sits 7th in the East division point standings after having some rough luck at new Castle Motorsports Park which saw him finish just outide the top ten. De La O is becoming a major play in the JICA class as his fast laps put him near the top of the time sheets in every timed session. Look for both drivers to join Langlois at the front of the pack as First Kart looks to sweep the podium.
Utah's fourth place finisher in Cadet, James Michael Sullivan will be back behind the wheel of a First Kart and will make a run towards another strong result in Shawano. Sullivan was at the track last week testing and was turning some very quick times that should put him at the front of the pack.
Spec racer pilot Zach Beard hopes to continue his recent success that sees him in the fight for both the East and West coast division titles. Beard has proven to be quick all season long and with two strong results in Shawano, should be a major factor in the national title chase.
After missing the Miller Motorsports Park event, veteran pilot Alan Rudolph will carry the First Kart flag in the ultra competitive ICC division. Rudolph showed good speed in new Castle and at a recent test at USA International Raceway proved that he had the times to compete with the nations best drivers.
The FirstKart.com race team will look to carry the momentum from some strong regional runs at the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship. '05 Canadian National Champion Eric Gerrits claimed the checkers in Rotax Senior while junior sensation Kevin Montieth scored podium positions in both Junior Heavy and Rotax Junior where he started from the tail of the field.
