Margay Racing Products, Inc., signs Bunker for 2003 season.

ST. LOUIS, Mo., (March 1, 2003) - Margay Racing Products, Inc., announced today that it has entered into a racer support program with Robert Bunker of Bridgewater, N.J. The 14 year old Bunker has been racing for four years and is a two-time class champion at Oakland Valley Race Park in Cuddebackville, N.Y. Bunker has been signed to compete in the 2003 WKA Manufacturer's Cup and CART Stars of Tomorrow series.

"We started competing on the Margay chassis in the 2002 IKF region seven series. From the beginning, I liked the overall performance of the Brava 1.2 chassis," said Robert Bunker. "To be competitive at a national level you need to have a complete and well-rounded program. Driver, engine, and chassis all need to work together," said Chip Bunker, Robert's father. "Support is also key in squeezing out the last bit of performance from every component. With Margay, we've got the best chassis and the best support available. Without exception, everyone at Margay has gone out of their way to help us with even the smallest details of our program. In addition, Carl Woltjer, of Woltjer Racing Engines, provides us with the best engines available and also guides us in all aspects of our program," Chip added.

Robert has more than just good equipment. "John Baio is a great tuner and has the experience to make the right tuning and setup decisions under any condition. And, of course you can't overlook the influence that Mike Doty has had on Robert's driving style. Mike has worked with Robert from the beginning and continues to provide Robert with the coaching necessary to compete at this level. We believe that collectively, all of these elements will help us to be successful in 2003," said Chip.

If the first race of the year at Daytona is any indication, Bunker may be on to something, qualifying on the front row in all three junior classes; Junior Super Can, Formula Yamaha Junior, and HPV Junior.

"We're thrilled to have a driver of Robert's caliber associated with our program," said Keith Freber, President of Margay Racing Products, Inc. "Robert's aggressive, yet controlled style is just what it takes to win races and we think he'll win a lot of them in the near future," added Freber.

Bunker is sponsored by Margay Racing Products, Woltjer Racing Engines, and RLV Tuned Exhaust Products. Margay Racing Products, one of the pioneers in the sport of karting, has been providing winning racing karts and components since 1964.
