"Talented junior looks to add to '09 win total"
June 23, 2009 -- Miinch Motorsports driver Taylor Miinch will travel from coast to coast this week for the second round of the 2009 Championship Karting International (CKI) series. With the event being held at the brand new New Jersey Motorsports Park facility in Millville, New Jersey, Miinch will look to drive to victory in both the IAME Junior and KF3 divisions.
Having recently competed in the International Karting Federation (IKF) Region 7 event at Calspeed Karting Center, Miinch will look to continue on with the momentum from the three podium, three pole and double victory weekend.
While much will be the same for Miinch this weekend in regards to tuners, chassis and engine builder, the talented 14-year-old will undergo one change in the KF3 class. Having utilized a Comer powered Top Kart for the first round and scoring a solid second place result, the Californian pilot will now switch to Vortex power in his hunt for the championship.
"I am looking forward to this weekend and traveling to the new track," expressed Miinch earlier this week."I like the challenges of a new circuit and the track looks really cool. I am sure there will be some great racing."
Miinch will work with tuners Wesley Boswell, Cory Pollock and Position One's Jesus Vasquez throughout the event weekend. Taking part in unofficial practice on Thursday, Miinch will look to get up to speed before Friday afternoon's important qualifying runs.
