Local kart racer Jack Harvey will be looking to return to the winners circle once again next weekend, when he competes in round two of the MSA Super One Championship at the PF International circuit at Brandon near Fulbeck next weekend (April 3/4).

The Bassingham based youngster, backed by the Allens Group, suffered from handling and performance problems with his kart at the opening round of the series, at the Three Sisters track neat Wigan. A 15th place finish in the final means that 10-year-old Jack will basically be starting from scratch this weekend and means to get back to winning form at his home venue.

"It was frustrating to come away from the first round without more points and a better result," he said. "We had fantastic pace in the practice and qualifying sessions but the performance just dropped as we went into the race heats."

The reigning WTP Champion knows that he needs a good result to put him in the hunt for the prestigious Super One title. The team has been working hard since the last round to make sure that he has the best chance to reach the chequered flag first by Sunday afternoon. The added bonus for Jack at the weekend will also be the locality of the venue; with the track being literally 15 minutes from home. It means a less hectic weekend and a more relaxed and focused racer.

"We have been testing a lot since then though and hopefully we have worked through everything that might have caused the problem. I love racing at PF International, mainly because it's my home track and I get a lot of friends, family and supporters coming over the weekend. It makes it a lot more relaxed and easy for me. I can't wait to get back into the series and show that we mean business." He added.

Jack will take to the track on Friday morning for the opening practice sessions before the heats and final on Saturday and Sunday.
