Seattle, WA -- (February 25, 2006) -- The Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by the IRL and World Karting Association announced today the the Kart Expo Show in St. Charles, IL that they have agreed to extend their working partnership through 2010. The agreement continues the relationship which has seen the Stars of Karting and WKA work together to coordinate a cohesive and structured system of club, regional, and national level racing. "Partnerships are successful when both parties contribute their strengths to the relationship. Both the WKA and the Stars of Karting are a prime example of that. I look forward to more great opportunities as a result of our partnership," said WKA President Randy Kugler.

Snap-on Stars of Karting President Paul Zalud was equally as excited, "The system that we have been developing with the WKA to structure a discernable ladder system in karting where everyone can contribute their key assets has reaped great dividends for both of us. I look forward to taking advantage of more opportunities to work together in the years ahead."

A key part of the strategy to be implemented will be the Stars of Karting and WKA working together to establish a west coast base of regional racing for the WKA. With the Seattle location of the Snap-on Stars organization their assets will be utilized to help the WKA gain a foothold in the western region of the United States.

The Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by the IRL will kick off their season with the MINI Cooper Race of the Americas in Norman, OK March 17-19. The event will pit the East and West Divisions of the series against each other in an event listed on the FIA-CIK International Calendar.
