Final day for 2007 Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship presented by Toronto Star Wheels
Vincec, Milwain, Monteith and Hibbs take championships

GOODWOOD, ONTARIO Sunday, September 16th was the final day of competition for the 2007 Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship presented by Toronto Star Wheels. After five of the 10 class championships were decided yesterday, the final five were decided today. The first race was Formula Senior, and it was Mike Vincec taking the first of a possible two championships for hard work this year. In Canada Junior Light, Austin Milwain took the win and championship.

In the Formula Senior prefinal, Mike Vincec converted his pole into a win. Gianmarco Raimondo was second and Paul Hunter was third. In the final, Vincec took the win over Fox, who missed the prefinal and Michael Di Meo. Vincec took the Formula Senior championship.

Canada Junior Light

In the Canada Junior Light prefinal, Milwain held on for the win. Artem Korolev was second and Reid Arnold was third. In the Canada Junior Light final, Austin Milwain won the final by a dominating 14 seconds for a clean sweep of the class. Behind Milwain the battle between Artem Korolev and Reid Arnold with Korolev taking second by a scant .110 of a second.

Rotax Max Senior

In the Rotax Max prefinal, third place qualifier Frank Launi won the prefinal. He and Vincec took a big lead over the rest of the field. Third was Matt France. In the Rotax Max Senior final, Launi led early before being passed by Vincec. Two red flags brought Vincec back to the pack, but once they were back underway, Vincec built another lead and took the win. Launi finished second and Stefano Romano was third. Marco Di Leo did a fantastic job to finish seventh after starting 22nd.

Rotax Max Junior
Pfaff Fast Qualifier Kevin Monteith

In the Rotax Max Junior prefinal, Kevin Monteith took the win over Michael Lombardi and Cory Luciano. In the Rotax Max Junior final, Monteith took a dominating win, clinching the championship. Second was Michael Lombardi and third was Wes Calaguiro. Reid Arnold and Joshua Korenyi rounded out the top five, with Arnold and Korenyi having a great battle in the final few laps.

F1-K Senior
Pfaff Fast Qualifier Richard Hibbs

In the F1K Senior prefinal, Hibbs converted his pole into a solid prefinal win. Three seconds back came Andre Bonaldo and Mike Lennie was third. In the F1K final, Hibbs dominated ahead of Lennie and Woyslay

GM Racing Award
The GM Racing Award is awarded to the driver judged by the series to have displayed outstanding competition skills and sportsmanship. The award on Saturday went to Gary Klutt for winning the Canada Junior Heavy championship with a last lap pass for the win. Sunday's award went to Mike Vincec for his three class championships and two wins on the weekend.

Pratt & Miller Team Spirit Award
The Pratt & Miller Team Spirit Award is presented to the participant (s) judged by the series to have exhibited outstanding teamwork in the areas of presentation, preparation and results. This weekend, Frank Launi and GP Karts won for two podium finishes in Rotax Max Senior.
