ProKart Challenge North/South shootout highlights G-Phactory weekend
May 15, 2009 (Huntington Beach, Calif.) -- The G-Phactory team support van will be logging a lot of miles again this weekend as the team competes in two different kart races at two different tracks. Supporting racers aboard Sodi Karts, the team will be at the ProKart Challenge West Coast Shootout and at the Los Angeles Kart Club race at California Speedway.
Two classes that are sure to be the most hard-fought at the West Coast Shootout are the growing KF2 class and always-competitive TaG Senior class. Andrick Zeen will be competing in both classes against some extremely tough competition, and will be joined in TaG Senior by Lloyd Mack. Also joining the team will be Craig Cutler, who will compete in S1. G-Phactory has competed in both the ProKart Challenge North and South series before, and knows that this weekend may serve as a precursor to this year's SuperNats.
After the West Coast Shootout is wrapped up, the team will pack up the truck and head south a couple hundred miles to the CalSpeed Karting Center for the monthly LAKC race. Mack will also be making the trip south to compete in LAKC's Spec PRD race, while Bryce Miller will compete in Stock Honda. Dylan Stalker, who won last month's Rotax Senior race and currently leads the point standings in the class, will be with the team. Finally, Adam Zeen and Shawn Cricca will both compete in the TaG Senior race.
It promises to be a busy weekend for the team staff, with seven different drivers competing in eight different race groups at two different tracks -- not to mention several different compounds of tires and engines. The ability to adapt to any kind of racing situation is a hallmark of the Sodi Kart chassis.
