The south Florida based Team is tapping into their international contacts to bring a number of top motor sport competitors. A total of six drivers will cover four different classes running the reliable and fast Kart Mini chassis. The Yellow and Black nation will be in full force as some of Americas top rising young talent work side by side with some of Brazils hottest racing stars. Final preparations were completed as the team headed to Homestead Karting near Miami for some last minute tweaks before hitting the road to Las Vegas. The team ran a successful campaign in 2009 and look to hit the podium in 2010.
Leading the way will be a pair of experienced hot shoes running in the premier shifter kart class. In ICC Super Pro will be international karting stand out Danilo Dirani from Brazil running with TM power on his potent Kart Mini chassis. The multi-time Brazilian National Champion will be joined by IndyCar star and fellow countryman Rafael Matos who will run with Maxter power in the top flight class. Another Brazilian driver, Daytona Prototypes pilot Ozwaldo Negri Jr., will hit the track in the TaG senior class. Negri Jr. is getting back into a kart after a long season of Grand Am competition.
"We got some really good Brazilian drivers in the program this year like we did last season," comments RDD Motorsports owner Andre Serra. "It's great to race with all these talented drivers and seeing them back in karts is always fun."
Also running the Kart Mini program is a trio of RDD Motorsports regulars who made plenty of waves across US series in 2010. Competing in the super competitive TaG Junior class will be Pan American Series Rotax Junior Max Champion Sebastian Ordonez along with Dalton Sargeant making jump to junior from Rotax Mini Max. The lone cadet driver will be 2010 Pan Am Mini Max Champion Logan Sargeant who will take on the Mini Rok field. All three American drivers hail from the sunshine state and have been testing over the past several weekends in preparation for the biggest kart race on the 2010 calendar.
"Our regular drivers are really well prepared for the event this season," continues Serra. "We have been testing and preparing for both classes. Our engine department and tuners are ready for whatever we get thrown our way in Vegas."
