St. Johns PA. . . . . Jr. caged Kart racer Shayne Balliet had high hopes of regaining his points lead Sunday afternoon, as he only trailed Josh Labatch by 5 points. But high hopes would go to bad times as Balliet went 3 wide going into turn one to try and take the lead, when contact between Labtach and Balliet sent Balliet hard into the turn 1 wall. Balliet who was complaining of severe back and foot pain was rushed to Hazleton General Hospital by the Butler Twp. ambulance. X-rays were taken of Balliet's back and left foot, good news was that the back x-ray's were negative but he may have fractured a bone in his foot. Balliet was released a few hours later and left the hospital on crutches. Shayne plans on returning to the speedway this coming Sunday afternoon in his back-up kart. Josh Labatch went on to take the win followed by Jen Care.
