Spring Run, PA_ Because the Path Valley karts and quads have yet to get a points race in due to foul weather, the Karts Spring National scheduled next Saturday, April 20, has been postponed until May 11.

The Spring National will feature $300 to win in the features for the lite, medium and heavy karts, based on WKA rules, for kart riders 15 and older.

Special events for the four-wheelers and the younger kart riders are also being planned.

Gates open at 10 a.m. every Saturday for karts and quads racing at Path Valley and following the May 11 Spring National the quads can race again that night with the regularly scheduled AMA motorcycles.

Kart racing at Path Valley welcomes all kart racers in classes that range from adults to the Kids Karts for riders 5-7 years old. For information see the kart rules on the track's website and also the final kart and quad points from last year at www.pathvalley.com.

Promoter Ken Geesey and head flagman Steve Murphy explained that the big spring event had to be postponed because none of the riders have had a chance to race a regular feature event after a snow-out two weeks ago and a rainout April 13.

"Only the four-wheeler riders who stayed to race with the AMA on May 30 have had any significant track time and we want to be fair and let them all do some racing before a big event that will bring in some of the very best from other tracks," Geesey said.
