Spring Run, PA_ Path Valley Speedway Park has declared the entire weekend of June 14 and 15 a rainout. A soupy wet track combined with severe storm and flood warnings all weekend made it an easy decision, according to promoter Ken Geesey.
The make-up Legends feature from May 31 will be rescheduled to a later date, and the scheduled Kid's Foot Race will also be rescheduled, but the other weekend stock car, Dwarf Car, and Saturday kart and quad races will not be rescheduled.
Four major race dates for sprints and stock cars, AMA motorcycles and two days of kart racing are planned next weekend, June 21, 22 and 23.
Seven main events are on the schedule for next Friday night, June 21, at Path Valley. The PA 305 Sprints, 600 Sprints and 270 Sprints return after a scheduled weekend off for each class, and the V-8 Street Stocks will race double features including their rain makeup from May 31. The mini stocks and four-cylinder thunder cars are also scheduled and the Legends Cars have their monthly night off.
Saturday starts with the regular weekly race for karts and four-wheelers, and the four wheelers remain Saturday evening for the American Motorcyclist Association District 6 points race for bikes and quads.
Then the Pennsylvania Dirt Karters Association (PDKA) karts return Sunday for the third of the series of six races in the Pennsylvania State Championship Series for Burris National Speedway Series points. More than 250 of the best karters from across Pennsylvania and adjoining states are expected for the PDKA event.
