Spring Run, PA_ A good mix of newcomers and veterans visited victory lane at Path Valley Speedway Park Saturday as Two Wheel Promotions hosted more than 125 entries including 14 in Jr. Restricted, 12 in Jr. Sportsman II and 17 in Medium.
Among the first time winners for Path Valley were Brett Patton in Caged Rookies, Charlie Walters in Jr. Restricted, and Kory Graham in Two-cycle. Dave Hoffman won in the Animal class and Don Nonneman won the Winged Outlaws race.
The veteran Path Valley frequent winners included Missy Ciucci in Mediums, DJ Holland in Jr. Stock, Frankie Peters in Jr. Sportsman II, Troy Imler in the Open class and Zach Fouse in Jr. Sportsman I. Craig Robinson won the four-wheeler quads race.
Karts and four-wheelers race every Saturday on the Path Valley quarter-mile clay oval. Gates open at 10 a.m. and karts are on the track by noon to finish before the 5 p.m. Saturday night races gate opening. In addition to kart racing, sprints and stock cars race Friday night and strictly stock junkyard cars or motorcycles and four-wheelers race Saturday nights.
The Path Valley Speedway Park is located in Spring Run PA a mile north on PA Route 641 from the intersection with PA Route 75, halfway between Port Royal and Hagerstown. It is five miles east from the Willow Hill Exit 14 of the PA Turnpike. The new phone number at the track for promoter Ken Geesey is 717-349-7111.
