After a close battle for the lead last week in the adult caged 425 division, newcomer Mike William's won both his heat and the feature. Driving in three divisions, 15-year-old Dan Hornsby went on to take the win in the adult caged 375 and placed fourth in the microstocks and third in the Jr. caged. By winning for the second week in a row Brian DaCosta proved last week was no mistake by winning the 2-cycle feature. John Hoffman of Freeland, PA led the first 7 laps in the briggs heavy feature, but had to retire from the race early due to mechanical failure handing over the work of winning the race to Tanner Young. Jen Care of New Jersey returned to the speedway after a 2-week layoff to take the win in the Jr. caged. Mechanical failure 2 weeks in a row relegated point's leader Shayne Balliet to a disappointing fifth place finish. The Briggs light feature turned into sibling rivalry as the Morgan brothers, Nate and Ian, were in a heated battle during the race, with Ian went on to take the win. The Microstock touring division was again in town and put on another exciting show. With the cars looking like miniature modifieds, fans would have thought they were at the Pocono Mountain Speedway, Saturday night show; Don McCormack of Southern New Jersey went on to take the win. The on track action starts Saturday night at 6:00 P.M. for the Modifieds, Street Stocks, Late Models, Factory Stocks and Pro Stocks. The action also continues next Sunday as the Go-karts and slingshots invade Pocono Mountain for the Summer Heat Racing Series. The action begins at 2:00 P.M. Kids get ready for the Big Wheel races Saturday, July 8th. The kids will be spilt into 5 and under, 6 thru 8 and 9 thru 11.
