Kevin Swindell to Hit The Road in Indiana

Memphis, Tenn. -- June 2, 2004 - Kevin Swindell will test his road racing skills this weekend as he competes in two divisions at Mark Dismore's New Castle Motorsports complex in New Castle, Indiana. The 1.1 mile road course offers unique challenges and is proving to be a first class facility on which the son of World of Outlaws legend Sammy Swindell, can master the skills of road racing. This will be Kevin Swindell's third outing in the TAG 125 kart in which he runs both the Open and Spec classes. In only his first two weekends of competition, Kevin scored two top-5 and four top-10 finishes.

"I am really enjoying the new challenges of road racing," stated Swindell. "Mark Dismore and my dad have already helped me learn a lot and I'm looking forward to this weekend. I'm trying to gain as much experience out of any type of racing that I can before I step up to bigger forms of racing next year."

While his road racing has taken priority lately, Kevin is still actively competing in national karting events along with commitments in the World Karting Association, both on dirt and pavement. The team, coming off an impressive win this past weekend in Little Rock, Arkansas in the stock light division, look to carry momentum into the upcoming WKA events.

Next up, Swindell will be competing in the WKA Dirt Nationals in Amelia, Virginia, June 11-13.
