JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA -Kyle Lawrence found the banked corners of the 103rd Street Complex to his liking on the second weekend of the George Kugler Manufacturer's Cup Series presented by Bridgestone.

"This course has lots of banked corners and that suited my style of driving," says Lawrence. "My tuner Van Gilder really nailed the chassis set-up. He had dialed in a lot less camber in the front for the banks. I came out of the corners much smoother with out wheelspin. The front end was perfect."

Lawrence put this balanced chassis to good use with faster times for each race session eventually running as high as seventh. "I was more comfortable and I progressed through the weekend", added Lawrence.

"I had a good start in the Sunday race but unfortunately got hit from behind with the kart climbing over me. I lost a lot of positions," explained Lawrence. "There were not a lot of passing opportunities in the corners because the banking allowed only one racing line. You really had to get far down inside to pass and there was no room down there."

Lawrence will be competing in the WKA Manufacturers' Cup East and the 2004 Champ Car Stars of Tomorrow, Eastern Division. The Stars Series is a national feeder series for young racers aspiring to race in CART Champ cars.
