On Victory Lane at Greenwood Valley

The all day mist and drizzle seemed to dominate at The Greenwood Valley Action Track on Saturday night but, as usual, Gerry and Cindy Creveling out waited the showers and the Racers Memorial Tribute for 270cc Micro Sprints ran as advertised. For the Feature race of the night, paying $500 to win, the dominant force was Colby Womer, Mt. Pleasant Mills. Several times Colby traded the lead with Sean Stolz, Bloomsburg, but after threading through lapped traffic managed the big win. Eric Heydenreich, Bloomsburg, used traffic to pass Stolz at the last minute and claimed second. In the fourth spot was Brian Kishbaugh, Nescopeck, fifth was Shane Penny, Berwick, and in sixth spot was Pat Bealer, Northampton. The rest of the top ten were Dave Williams, Larry Sauers, Chad Thomas and Sean "Hollywood" Good.

In Sportsman Micro Sprint 250cc action Brian Kishbaugh picked up first prize, Kevin Hayle, Bloomsburg, was second and Jim Reese, also Bloomsburg, was third. In the fourth spot was Jared Hartman, Benton, fifth place went to Rick Morris, Catawissa, and in sixth was John Gearhart, Bloomsburg. George Kerstetter, Ben Propst and Greg Steward made up the rest of the finish list.

Kyle Glass, Middleburg, in his third time out in a Micro polished off the field in the Rookie Division while Jonathan Allegrucci, Jermyn, held on to second spot. Tim Saydam, Lehighton, came in third while Ryan Osborne, Milford, NJ, was fourth, Jonathan's brother, Nunzi Allegrucci, fifth, and Nate Snyder was sixth. Tammy Schane, Hamlin, and Matt Bower filled out the rest of the field.

Gates open every Saturday at 3, warm-ups at 4:30 and racing starts at 5:30 at The Greenwood Valley Action Track, located 3 1/2 miles east of Millville just south of route 254. On the 6th of June the first Figure 8 race of the year is scheduled with gates opening at 5, and the destruction getting underway soon after. See you at The Action Track.
