Blane Heimbach, Selinsgrove, started the Saturday night's Micro Sprint Feature on the outside of row one. The Greenwood Valley regular soon took command and held off the rest of the field to take the checkered flag. In Victory Lane, Heimbach, like all good drivers, offered thanks to the people who make his effort possible; his parents allowing the opportunity to race, The Action Track for the fine racing surface, and Gary King for helping with the set-up on Heimbach's King Chassis Micro. Joe Bednarski, Wyoming, last week's Feature winner, and defending Action Track Champion, also in a King Chassis, was close behind Heimbach in second place. In the third position was Neil Petock, Bloomsburg, Jeff Furlong, Selinsgrove was fourth, while Mike Spotts, Selinsgrove, was fifth. In the sixth spot was Brian Wawroski, Bloomsburg, Eric Perchak, Hazelton was seventh, and Brian Kishbaugh, Nescopeck, was eighth. Colby Womer, Mt. Pleasant Mills, took ninth place while Steve Lenig, Selinsgrove, was tenth.

In the Rookie Micro Sprint event, Shane Penny, Nescopeck, steps away from the Rookie class by scoring his fourth feature win. Attrition, probably related to the chilly temperatures, took all but eight micros out of the contest. Claiming second place was Andy Knouse, Mt. Pleasant Mills, followed by Dave Williams, Pottstown. In the fourth spot was Todd Hoover, Selinsgrove, Jesse Remensnyder from Mocanaqua was fifth, Phil Weinsteiger, Green Lane, was sixth, Dillon Stein, Auburn, seventh, and Kevin Faus, Orangeville, eighth.

Chilly temperatures will do nothing to cool down the final weekends of Points Racing at The Action Track. Every driver will be working to claim as many points as possible hoping to climb higher in the final tally. Non-point racing continues though October with special weekends in the planning stages for October 7 for Micros and October 14 for Karts.

The Greenwood Valley Action Track is located 3 1/2 miles east of Millville, just south of route 254. Gates open at 3:30, warm-ups at 5:30, and racing for every division of karts and micros beginning soon after. Next week the Mini Sprints, the 600's and Garden Tractors will add to the Regular Show. Plan your weekends around action at the area's best dirt oval, The Action Track!
