ON VICTORY LANE AT GREENWOOD VALLEY

At The Greenwood Valley Action Track the Racer's Tribute Memorial event, held annually during the Memorial Day holiday weekend, is the first big race of the season. The purse included $500 dollars to win and it was a very humble and pleased Colby Womer of Mt. Pleasant Mills who collected the prize. Joe Bednarski, Plymouth, lead for several laps in the Twin 25 Feature finale, but could not ward off the Womer charge for the lead. Following Bednarski across the line was Chad Thomas, New Berlin, Pat Bealer, Seemsville, and Ross Perchak, Hazelton. Sixth was Brian Kishbaugh, Nescopeck, who had won the preceding Sportsman Micro Feature. In the seventh spot was Eric Heydenreich, Bloomsburg, eighth was Joel VanBuskirk, Selinsgrove, ninth, Jeff Furlong, Selinsgrove, and Jason Rice, New Tripoli.

Brian Kishbaugh was the Feature winner in the Sportsman Micro Sprint contest, edging out Chad Thomas who looked strong throughout the event. In the third spot was Jake Starr, Millville, in fourth was Jim Reese, Bloomsburg, fifth Rob Pajauis, Asbury, NJ. The final two spots were claimed by Gene Lewis and Termite Hurr, Palmyra.

Jake Starr, Millville, celebrated his 25th birthday and a Feature win at The Greenwood Valley Action Track all in the same weekend. The win was Jake's second in the Rookie Micro Sprint Division and added to the Rookie Feature win at the Selinsgrove Raceway Friday night. In the second spot was Jason Harmon, Nescopeck, while Brian Terwilliger, Addison, NY, came in third and Dusty Jagger, Port Crane, NY, was fourth. Fifth in line was Sean Stolz, Bloomsburg, followed by Joe Hogan, Plymouth, in sixth, Jolene Wojciehowicz, Mocanaqua, seventh and Randy Myers in eighth. Rounding out the top ten were Larry Sauers, Allenwood, and Terry Schane, Hamlin.

The Greenwood Valley Action Track is located 3 1/2 miles east of Millville just south of route 254. Pit gates open at 3, warm-ups at 4:30 and racing starts in earnest at 5:30. Join us at the Action Track.
