Three weeks in a row, that's how Jeff Furlong, Selinsgrove, can count his wins at The Greenwood Valley Action Track near Millville. Furlong made his way through traffic in the Regular Micro Sprint Feature with Denny Rinehimer, Bloomsburg, following through every turn and twist. In the same line was "Hollywood" Good, Middleburg, and Steve Lenig, Selinsgrove, with the thought that if the leader tangled in slower traffic that the doors would open for them. Furlong seemed not to make a mistake as the race wore on and the top four finished in close order. In the fifth spot was Brayden Winters, Easton, sixth place was Jason Kemp, Bloomsburg, seventh was Skeetz Hockenbrock, Paxinos, eighth was Brian Kishbaugh, Nescopeck, ninth was Ross Perchak, Hazelton, finally in tenth place was Joel VanBuskirk, Selinsgrove.

Once again there were only a few entries in the Sportsman Micro Sprint divisions but the racing was close and exciting. Chad Thomas, Millville, claimed another win at The Action Track this Saturday night. In second was Brian Kishbaugh, Nescopeck, third Rick Morris, Catawissa, and in fourth was Jim Reese, Bloomsburg, fifth was Craig Fox, Orangeville, and finally, Caesar Bardo, Scranton, was sixth.

It was the first Rookie Micro Sprint Feature win at The Greenwood Valley Action Track for Terry Schane, Hamlin. Joel Thomas, Bloomsburg, a music teacher, finished second and in third was Jason Harmon, Middleburg. Larry Sauers, Allenwood, was fourth, Mike Burke, Cressona, fifth and Tammy Schane, Terry's mother, came in sixth. Tim Buckwalter, Douglassville, managed a commanding seventh place, while Ryan Pitts, Lebanon, came in eighth while Jerad Allen, Spring Mills, was ninth and Deb Arner, Berwick, was tenth.

The Firecracker 500 will be the feature event next week at The Action Track, located 3 1/2 miles east of Millville just south of route. 254. The purse starts with $800 to win the Regular Micro Sprint Feature. Jeff Furlong and Denny Rinehimer, who finished first and second in Saturday night's Feature, have guaranteed starting positions for the annual shoot out. Join us at The Greenwood Valley Action Track when gates will open 3 and warm-ups start at about 4:30.
