Rinaldoni earns another podium !

Montreal, Quebec, June 29, 2004 --. The action took place in Chateau Richer, the karting racetrack near Quebec city, site of the third round of the Quebec Karting Championship. Race driver Toby Rinaldoni from Sainte-Catherine, Quebec, drove another perfect weekend in the ICA class and earned the right to step on the top of the podium, as he has done every time this season.

This multiple Junior 2003 champion was not impressed with changing weather. The 14 year-old mastered the track on wet and dry tarmac. "The most difficult part was setting up the chassis while the elements toyed with us for two days. One moment, it was raining. Next, it was shining. Our 2004 new chassis needs to be nursed according to the track conditions: it explained why I could not drive away from the pack," explained Rinaldoni after the podium ceremony.

Only one place: first

In the free practice session on Saturday, the youngster lapped the racetrack in the rain one full second ahead of second place Robert Foteas. Rain or shine, Toby scored again the best time on Sunday morning, this time in dry conditions. Later on, he drove perfectly from green to checkered flag to win the pre-final. Late in the day, after a few delays caused by heavy rain, he won again in the final to complete yet another perfect weekend. Toby has completed every round this season in first place.

After three rounds in the Quebec championship, Toby Rinaldoni has been perfect in every outing and he could be crowned when the next event takes place in Terrebonne next week.
