7 April, 2003 - In 2003 the Super Cheap Auto team will be assisting young karting drivers to develop into their own success stories by becoming the major sponsor of the Junior Blitz Karting Series.

Now in it's fourth year the Super Cheap Junior Blitz Series is Australia's most rewarding Junior karting series and is the supporting series to the Ford KartStars Series.

"Super Cheap Auto are proud to be involved at the grass roots of Australian motorsport," Super Cheap Auto Managing Director Bob Thorn said.

Now in it's 29th year of operation Super Cheap Auto has developed into one of Australia's business success stories with over 1600 staff employed in four states and two territories across the country.

"The Junior Blitz program is a very competitive and popular series that helps develop the skills of youngsters who are determined to become professional racing drivers," continued Thorn.

"If we can help these talented kids reach their goals, then that is fantastic."

With the Super Cheap Auto Junior Blitz series incorporating five classes of junior karting - Midgets, Rookies, Junior National Light and Heavy along with the fastest class, Junior Clubman it is the most popular Junior Series in Australia.

"Our aim is to provide the future stars of Australian Motorsport with a pathway through the Junior Blitz Series and I am delighted to have the support of Super Cheap Auto in 2003, "said Series organiser George Turton.

"Super Cheap have links throughout the Australian Motorsport Industry and their ever expanding business is a success story in itself."

Another link that Super Cheap Auto has recently established is to include the National Formula Ford Series as a part of their strategic marketing plan. In 2003 Adam Graham will receive the support of Super Cheap Auto in theseries.

Graham who last year competed in the Ford KartStars Series will make his debut in the Super Cheap Auto Spectrum Formula Ford this weekend at Victoria's Phillip Island circuit.

"It's great to have some backing, especially from such a big company like Super Cheap Auto," said 18-year-old Graham.

"Super Cheap Auto's involvement in the sport will help me, and many other people, achieve their goals. This could open up quite a few doors for me."

With these two new announcements it provides Super Cheap auto with a unique situation in Australian Motorsport where they are supporting a young drivers' career through the ranks and hopefully into a V8 Supercar.

"We look forward to the day when a Super Cheap Auto Junior Blitz champion goes on to drive for our Formula Ford, V8 Konica and V8 Supercar teams," commented Thorn

"It would be quite an achievement, and one that we are thrilled to make possible."

The Super Cheap Auto Junior Blitz Series will kick off on May 17/18 at one of Australia's most famous karting circuits, Raleigh which is located in Northern New South Wales.
