H.H. Gregg/Sirius Qualifying Day full of exciting NASCAR, IROC action.

INDIANAPOLIS, Tuesday, July 30, 2002 -- The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has chosen Sirius Satellite Radio, the country's premier satellite radio broadcaster, and H.H. Gregg, the Midwest's leading home appliance and consumer electronics retailer, to play host to qualifying day during the Brickyard 400 NASCAR Winston Cup weekend, Aug. 2-4.

H.H. Gregg/Sirius Qualifying Day, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 3, will provide an intense day of activity for fans at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, starting with NASCAR Winston Cup Series qualifying at 10:05 a.m. (EST), followed by the 40-lap IROC at Indy race at 1 p.m., featuring many of the world's best drivers competing in equally-prepared True Value International Race of Champions stock cars.

The stars of the Winston Cup Series will end the day with two practices, at 2 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. Tickets for H.H. Gregg/Sirius Qualifying Day are $25. Children ages 5 and younger are admitted free.

In celebration of H.H. Gregg/Sirius Qualifying Day, H.H. Gregg has a special promotion running from now through Aug. 11 at its outlets in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee, which includes:

Brickyard 400 weekend gets underway Friday, Aug. 2 with True Value IROC practices at 10:30 a.m. (EST) and 12:30 p.m. A two-hour NASCAR Winston Cup Series practice starts at 2 p.m., followed by more IROC practice at 4:05 p.m. Tickets for Friday are $10, and admission is free for children ages 5 and younger.

Reserved seating for the ninth Brickyard 400 on Sunday, Aug. 4 is sold out, and there is no general-admission seating. Driver introductions are at 1 p.m. (EST), and the green flag drops on the race at 1:30 p.m. The race will be broadcast live on the NBC television network.
