Indy Lights race winner Zach Veach will return to the category in 2016 for a championship assault with Belardi Auto Racing.
Veach, 20, has been part of Andretti Autosport's various Mazda Road to Indy squads between 2010 and 2014, the high points of the partnership being a 2011 Pro Mazda Winterfest title and third place in the 2014 Lights season.
He largely spent 2015 on the sidelines, albeit finished fourth in the Prototype Challenge class on his sole USCC outing with JDC/Miller Motorsports at Laguna Seca.
The Ohio native went on to test with Belardi in the 2015 post-season and has now sealed a 2016 campaign, which is set to be his third full year in the series.
Belardi won the 2014 title with Gabby Chaves and fielded a two-car line-up of Felix Serralles and Juan Piedrahita in 2015, which marked Indy Lights' first season with the new Dallara IL-15 chassis.
Serralles finished seventh with a race win at Milwaukee, while Piedrahita finished eighth.
