Successful weekend at Barber Motorsports Park for Andretti Autosport
The Colombian Carlos Muñoz obtained his third career Firestone Indy Lights victory and teammate Zach Veach finished ninth.
"Everything was really good this weekend and I was first in all the sessions. Perfect weekend. The crew guys and my engineer gave me a great car.
I am really happy after a disappointing weekend in St. Petersburg. We started a championship in this race and I hope to continue in the same place."
Zach Veach, No. 12 K12 - After starting from the fifth grid position, Veach was able to hold his ground for the majority of the race until he narrowly escaped hitting the wall. Forced to make an unexpected pit midway through the race, Veach finished today ninth.
"Obviously I didn't do as well as I wanted to. We got hit on the start, and that kind of put us into a bind. From that point on the right rear was just slowly going down.
The first half of the race we were really quick, but we hit a bit of bad luck and it just wasn't in our book today.
I just want to thank the K12 team for making this weekend happen. I also want to thank my team for putting in a great effort to make this a successful weekend."
