SONOMA, California (August 22, 2010) - Juan Pablo Garcia finished in the Top-6 in the Carneros 100, round 10 of the Firestone Indy Lights Series that was held this weekend at the 2.303-mile road circuit in the Infineon Raceway.

In addition, the Mexican won the "Force for Earth Hard Charger" award, which is presented to the driver that gained the most positions after starting from 12th and finishing the race in sixth.

This was Garcia's second race in the year and his third in the Firestone Indy Lights Series. Also, his sixth position was his best result in the series.

At the end of the race Garcia said: "It was a difficult race not only because there were just a few yellow flags with little time to rest, also because this track is very demanding both on neck and arms."

"We had a good race, thank God it was solved the brake problem from Saturday, which really had me worried due to there are some sections were you have to brake hard," said the Michael Crawford Motorsports driver.

"The set up was very good. I'm happy because the team did a great job, they worked 'till late because they changed all the brake system," said the Freightliner-Mapfre-Eucomex-backed driver. "I am really happy with this finish. This is my best result in the series in three races."

"During the race, the car developed understeer in some places and oversteer in others, but I moved the bar to fix the push and towards the end of the race the car was only a bit loose," the Mexican driver said.

"On the final laps I was holding up the car behind (Campos Jr.), and that made me waste time when trying to catch up the car in front of me (Mann)," said the driver of car # 8.

"I want to thank my sponsors Freightliner, Mapfre y Eucomex, because with their support I've been able to get this result. Also, I want to thank my family and friends, who came here to cheer me up," Garcia said.
