Last Road Course of the Season for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (August 18, 2010) -- Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing and driver Gustavo Yacamán head to the West Coast and beautiful Infineon Raceway for Round 10 of 13 of Firestone Indy Lights, August 21-22.
The 40-lap race is part of the IZOD IndyCar Series weekend in Sonoma, California. A driver and fan favorite, Infineon Raceway is located in the heart of wine country with many vineyards only minutes from the track. While the 19-year-old cannot enjoy the wine while he is there, he does hope to enjoy a good race finish.
"Sonoma is the last of the road courses for us this year," Yacaman said. "We have shown a lot of improvement this season, and we need to put it all together and repeat our podium finish from Toronto before we change our mind sets back to the oval."
The race is set to go green on Sunday, August 22nd at Noon PT (3 p.m. ET). It can be seen live on streaming video at www.indycar.com. Tickets can be purchased by going to www.infineonraceway.com/tickets.
This past weekend, Yacamán competed in his third triathlon. Held in hot and humid Miami, he finished third in his age group and 173rd out of 632. He has improved consistently each time he competes.
"I am getting better and better each time," he said. "It was a really hot day. The water was hot, the ride was hot and the run felt like I was surrounded by fire. But I paced myself to a strong 1:11.08. My goal for when I compete in a triathlon again is to win my age group and finish in the top 100 overall."
