Dayton Indy Lights Championship - Round 9

#64 Rolando Quintanilla (Telmex/Roquin Motorsport/Canel'S) After A Grueling Weekend At Gateway International Raceway Rolando Crossed The Finish Line In 8th Place With A Best Lap Time Of 31.402. He Struggled With Engine Problems During Saturday'S Morning And Afternoon Practice Sessions. As A Result, The Team Decided To Change The Engine And He Was Finally Able To Get Some Track Time On Sunday'S Warm-Up Session Before The Race. He Stated After The Race, "This Weekend Was Rough. We Weren'T On Track For Most Of The Weekend Due To Rain And Engine Difficulty, So We Were Not Able To Fine-Tune The Car Exactly The Way We Wanted It. We Needed More Speed And Less Under Steer, Then Possible We Could'Ve Been Higher On The Grid. I Hope We Have Better Luck At The Next Race And I Am Looking Forward To Laguna Seca!"

#65 Luis Diaz (Telmex/Roquin Motorsport/Canel'S) Luis Diaz Finished In 6th Place In The Dayton Indy Lights Championship At Gateway International Raceway. During His 18th Lap, #6 Cory Witherill Caused A Yellow Flag And Was Forced To Pit, Which Bumped Luis To 8th Place. He Then Began His Battle With #15 Rudy Junco. He Stated "I Was Constantly Looking Errors From Rudy To Pass, But Unfortunately, I Didn'T Find An Opportunity Until The End Of The Race. Because Of The Limited Time Allowed, I Wasn'T Able To Catch Up To Faulkner To Take The Fifth Position. But, Laguna Seca Is One Of My Favorite Tracks And The Race Is Not Far Away And I Always Look Forward To The Competition!" Leader Of 70 Laps, Townsend Bell Retired To The Pits Due To A Failed Fuel Pump, Which Caused Quite A Stir Among The Indy Lights Population. During The Shift Of Positions, Luis Passed #15 Rudy Junco On The Next Lap. He Landed Himself In 6th Place For The Remainder Of The Race.
