DAN WHELDON - # 1 GEMSTAR PACWEST LIGHTS
"Starting second on the grid is pretty good," said Wheldon. "We closed the gap a little today and hopefully will close it even more tomorrow. This track is great -very similar to the European circuits, which I'm use to. We need to make some changes on the set-up of the car, which we'll do tonight and be ready for the race tomorrow. We have a fast car and it's important I'm aggressive at the start of the race and I'm confident we'll bring PacWest to the podium again."
MARIO DOMINGUEZ - # 17 DEL VALLE CORONA TELEVISA PACWEST LIGHTS
"We made some major changes to the car between sessions, but we just couldn't seem to go any faster," said Dominguez. "Traffic was not an issue, I simply couldn't put up a competitive time and I struggled just to get the lap time I did. I pushed myself as hard as I could. My car has been touching down a little bit for most of the weekend and if we raise it, the car seems to get worse. We may have to go back on some changes tonight to settle the car down. Starting fifth is okay; we will just plan on running a very smart race and try to finish on the podium tomorrow."
