Forsythe Championship Racing, Ltd. 1999 PPG-Dayton Indy Lights Championship

Budweiser G.I. Joe's 200 Presented by Texaco/Havoline Portland International Raceway - Portland, Oregon June 18-20, 1999

Circuit: 1.967-mile permanent road course Race: 38 laps/74.746 miles Broadcast: June 20 - ESPN2 11:30 pm EST

Airton Dare, #1 Banestado Lola - Qualified 11th:

"We had a lot of understeer everywhere. We improved a little bit with new tires, but not enough. We had a problem with understeer during our last test, and we can't seem to get rid of it."

Guy Smith, #6 Swift Caravans Lola - Qualified 5th:

"I'm pretty pleased. We were way off this morning by about 0.7 (seconds) and now we're 0.3 off. We are going to get there. Last year we started out 0.7 off and we ended up with the pole, so I'm pretty confident. The track is coming to us and I think the next qualifying session will be good."
