LONG BEACH, Cali. (April 18, 2009) - AFS/AGR #26 driver J.R. Hildebrand will start from the pole for th Grand Prix of Long Beach Firestone Indy Lights race on Sunday. Hildebrand had a best-lap speed of 94.126 mph. Hildebrand's teammate, Sebastian Saavedra, driver of the #27 AFS/AGR car, will start in the 17th position. Saavedra posted a best-lap speed of 92.643 mph.

J.R. Hildebrand #26 AFS/AGR driver:

"The AFS/AGR guys have done a great job. We've got a really good car, so that makes my job a lot easier, but (that session) was a tough one. We had a lot of breaks. We were just getting rolling, but time was running out, but I needed to get one in. The (Firestone) Firehawks were right up to speed and I was able to take advantage of it. It worked out really well for us. Hope to stay up front the whole race and finish where I started."

Sebastian Saavedra #27 AFS/AGR driver:

"It wasn't the best qualifying run for the #27 car. We struggled with the setup and were able to correct it towards the end of the session. Things were starting to look perfect, but then the yellow came out and we ran out of time. I'm really happy for J.R. (Hildebrand) and can't wait for the race tomorrow."
