St. Louis, Ill. (Sept. 16th, 2000) Jonny Kane qualified 14th for tomorrow's Dayton Indy Lights race on a time of 29.808 seconds.

Unfortunately Kane missed the official test at the St. Louis track due to a crash earlier this year. Hence Jonny has been playing catch up since he arrived this weekend. Jonny will have a difficult job ahead of him tomorrow but will hopefully make up some places during the 79-lap race.

Townsend Bell clinched the pole with a quick lap of 28.625 seconds, followed by Scott Dixon (28.766 seconds). Jeff Simmons rounds up the top three qualifying on a time of 28.855 seconds.

"The car felt pretty much as it has done all weekend. I just couldn't get a time out of it. I thought we would have been able to go better than that, but maybe I just didn't push soon enough. The car was quite close to being neutral. It felt a bit better at one and two but that made it even more neutral at three and four and I was probably too cautious through there. Unfortunately most of the time depends on you being quick through three and four. We will just have to give it our best shot tomorrow and try and pick up some places. It is a long race so who knows what will happen."
