TOM WOOD (No. 9 Super 8 Motels/Sam Schmidt Motorsports Dallara/Infiniti/ Firestone): "The car was pretty good. We're a little faster this afternoon. The track changed a little bit. We're quite happy with it."

AARON FIKE (No. 91 Hemelgarn Racing Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "We had a good run. We blew a clutch in the first practice, so we only had the second practice for setup. I'm learning a lot, learning to run in the draft and to run smoother. That will help me. I'm looking forward to the race and hope to get a win here."

RYAN HAMPTON (No. 34 Conti-Genoa-Frost Racing Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "It was a terrible qualifying run. We made a little time up with the setup. The engine is not really running that well. We'll see what we can do. It's going to be a long race."

MATT BEARDSLEY (No. 12 Alpine Bank Old-Republic Land Title Dallara/ Infiniti/Firestone): "The run felt good. Since I took my IRL test here, I feel a bit more comfortable here. I'm pretty happy. The car feels good."

ED CARPENTER (No. 2 Menards/Jack K. Elrod Co./Futaba/Delphi Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "We got everything out of it. We've got to deal with it and do the best we can. The car setup is perfect. My team and all the sponsors have done an excellent job."

ARIE LUYENDYK JR. (No. 5 Luyendyk Racing Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "Qualifying went OK. I like the track. It's cool because the banking is so severe that you can probably run three-wide during the race. I think the race should be interesting. I think it is important to start up front and to stay down on the bottom and to keep A.J. (Foyt IV) far, far behind me."

CORY WITHERILL (No. 92 WSA Healthcare Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "Basically, that was a pretty good run. We did a little bit better that I thought we would. The track is a little different, but the front straightaway is different because it almost has two apexes, one at (Turn) 4 and another one at the start-finish line. The packs will be just as big as they were at Chicago. The only thing is that it might be a little hazardous on the front straightaway. Other than that, it will probably be close, tight racing. Hopefully, we'll come out in front."

ROLANDO QUINTANILLA (No. 11 Roquin Motorsports Dallara/Infiniti/ Firestone): "It's the fastest time we've run by ourselves. We just have to work with what we've got."

MARTY ROTH (No. 3 Castek/Marty Roth/Brian Stewart Racing): "It went a lot better than it did in Chicago. We've got a great car, and it will be good in the race. Right now, I'm not real worried about qualifying. It's a long race. It's the first time we're in Texas, so we're excited to be here. It's a great facility. We're just loving it, having a great weekend. I can't wait."

GARY PETERSON (No. 27 Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. Dallara/Infiniti/ Firestone): "It was a terrible run. I don't know what happened. We'll be OK for the race tomorrow."

MIKE KOSS (No. 37 Bowes Seal Fast Automotive Products Dallara/Infiniti/ Firestone): "That was flat out. We blew a motor in the first practice. It's as fast as it's going to go."

RONNIE JOHNCOX (No. 8 REV 1 Racing Special Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "It's a boost for the whole team, really. We thought that we could run maybe a 30.0 (second lap), maybe a 29.9. I don't know, I think the track just got a little bit quicker, and we were able to pick it up a notch." (About telling crowd it was all driver skill): "That's what I told them, but that's not what I really feel. It's a total team effort. The whole REV 1 Racing team is, in my opinion, the best race team in the whole series. I can't thank those guys enough for the way they prepare the cars and the way that we all work together and communicate and put together a nice piece on the racetrack. Hopefully tomorrow we can win this BG 100 race and bring one home to cap off our season." (About the Infiniti Pro Series): "The series is just phenomenal for all open-wheel (racing), especially the Indy-car racing. It prepares not only the drivers to make the step up to the Indy Racing League, but it gives the mechanics, the engineers, and most importantly, the sponsors the opportunity to get in at a more affordable level, learn how to tailor your program to open-wheel racing and the fan-friendly environment that the whole Indy Racing League offers, and then take that level of involvement and then work it up to the next level and ultimately the Indy Racing League."

A.J. FOYT IV (No. 14 Harrah's/A.J. Foyt Racing Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone): "We came in here with a 28-point lead on the championship, and the last couple of races Arie Luyendyk (Jr.) has been getting closer and closer. We're just coming into this race with all of our heads together. The first couple of practice sessions we got quick time, then in qualifying we ran a great lap. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow to redeem myself from last weekend's mistake. Hopefully, I'll be able to win here in Texas." (About veteran leadership on team): "I got an incredible crew. I've got Jack Starne, who's been with my grandfather for 35 years, crew chiefing my car, and won the Indy 500 in '77 with him as his crew chief. Of course, I have my grandfather. He's been around everything and been through everything. Then we've got all the other Harrah's crew that work with the Indy cars that also help me with my car. We've got a really incredible crew. They've really been helping me a lot. I couldn't have been doing this without them." (About the championship): "I'm going to just come into tomorrow's race like I do every other race, just focus on winning the race. If it comes down to a decision I've got to make on the racetrack where it could be questionable to crash or to finish second or third, of course I'm going to make the right judgment and not take a chance on crashing and ruin the points championship. There are a few things I've got to change coming into this race rather than the first or second race. I'm just really excited for it. Hopefully we'll have a good day."
