oso*fresh's Camara Finishes Eighth in Indy Pro Series Grand Prix - Race 2

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (April 1, 2007) - oso*fresh driver Jaime Camara finished eighth in the second race of the Indy Pro Series Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. An incident in the first race of the weekend caused Camara to start in the 23rd position. Despite starting from the back of the field, Camara drove like a veteran and ran a cautious race to bring the oso*fresh car to a top-10 finish and gain points in the championship

Alex Lloyd earned the victory and swept the weekend. Wade Cunningham and Bobby Wilson rounded out the top three in second and third, respectively.

The Indy Pro Series returns to action at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Freedom 100 on May 25 and can be seen on ESPN2 at 4 p.m. (EDT).

Jaime Camara, #11 oso*fresh Dallara/Firestone:

"The whole weekend was rough. We started good and then I had a close call during the qualifying session. Then (Bobby) Wilson took me out of the first race. We went with a different setup for the morning session and then we had to set it up again for the race. The car was much better in the race and I just wanted to finish this race. I wasn't too aggressive because I knew I needed the points for the championship. I was just passing people one-by-one each lap and waiting for them to make mistakes. At the end of the day it was good. We finished eighth and that is going to be good for the championship."
