KENTUCKY 100 POLE QUALIFYING QUOTES:

MARK TAYLOR (No. 4 Fulmar Panther Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone):

"Great job by the guys. It felt good in the test, and I felt confident going into it. Obviously, the conditions were just right for our car. It maybe changed a little bit for others. It's a great place to start. It's going to be a completely different race. Everyone is going to be able to overtake, I think, and it's going to be down to the last lap." (Do you think you will dominate the race?): "I can't see it happening that way. I think everyone is going to be close together. I think as far as the race is concerned, you'll see a lot of towing and a lot of overtaking."

BRANDON ERWIN (No. 99 Raymond James & Associates/SSM Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone):

"We went out there and had a nice run today. The Sam Schmidt Motorsports team put a nice car out there. This is the first time that I've ever been here, so I had to learn a lot. In the first practice session, we knew we were 11th, so we knew we were going to have to make a gear change. We made the change, and I just had to go out there relying on my crew. We're going to start third, and that will be great for us."

JEFF SIMMONS (No. 20 Western Union Speed Team Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone):

"The Western Union Speed Team guys did a good job in practice this week. When we tested here, we were running different gears, and we didn't seem to be able to pull that today, for some reason. We had to come back here and scramble and get the gears changed real quick and try to get a little bit of practice time in. We didn't get too much, but the car was good for qualifying. We could have been a little bit better, but starting on the front row is a good place to be. We should have a good run tomorrow."
