INDIANAPOLIS, Wednesday, July 24, 2002 - The first of seven programs on ESPN2 featuring the 2002 Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series, the Indy Racing League's new development series, will be broadcast Thursday, July 25.
Highlights from the inaugural Infiniti Pro Series race July 7 at Kansas Speedway, won by A.J. Foyt IV, will be televised from 6-6:30 p.m. (EDT) July 25.
The remaining six races on the schedule also will be featured in separate 30-minute shows on ESPN2.
IMS Radio Network anchor Mike King will serve as the host and anchor of the telecasts.
Indianapolis 500 and Indy Racing League veteran Scott Goodyear will provide analysis, as he does during ABC-ESPN broadcasts of Indy Racing League events. Kim Morris, a pit reporter for the IMS Radio Network, will serve as a reporter during the telecasts.
Each of the 30-minute telecasts will feature driver interviews and feature stories as well as race highlights.

The inaugural, seven-race season of the new development series began July 7 at Kansas Speedway and culminates with the season finale Sept. 14 at Texas Motor Speedway.
The 100-mile Infiniti Pro Series "sprints" take place at the same track and on the same day as Indy Racing League events except for the Texas race, which will be conducted the day before the IRL's season-ending Chevy 500.
