INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Rookie driver Cole Carter and new team American Revolution Racing's (ARR) debut race ended all too early as a mechanical failure on the warm-up and opening lap of the Futaba Freedom 100 resulted in moderate contact with the wall and an 18th place finish. The #77 Dallara/Infiniti/Firestone qualified in third position on Thursday, May 26, but didn't prove to be the same car on race day.

A spin on the warm up lap forced ARR to start at the rear of the field. Initial inspection shows that on the opening lap the car suffered a driveline failure forcing the car to back into the Turn 3 wall. Carter was uninjured, checked by the infield care center and released.
