Local Florida Native, Mishael Abbott, Qualifies Strong in Her First Infiniti Pro Series Race

Abbott debuts in the Menards Infiniti Pro Series this weekend

MIAMI, FL (March 5, 2005) -- Today, Coral Springs resident, Mishael Abbott, landed an impressive fourth-place qualifying position in her first Menards Infiniti Pro Series a race scheduled for Sunday, March 6, noon ET. Driving car No. 42 for Hemelgarn Johnson Motorsports, Mishael rounded the 1.5-mile oval on the Homestead-Miami Speedway in 28.4 seconds landing her weekend personal best of 185.9 m.p.h.

Racing since age 14, Mishael Abbott's accomplishments include a number of "firsts": First female to win a SKUSA feature shifter-kart race, driving her Formula Mazda earned the Hard Charger award at the Kohler® Chicago Region "June Sprints" in 2004, and first female to test a Menards Infiniti Pro Series car.

Menards Infiniti Pro Series is the official support series for the Indy Racing League IndyCarsÒ Series and incubator for the racing stars of tomorrow. Mishael Abbott is pursuing her formal education at Florida Atlantic University, working toward an elementary school teaching degree, and seeking sponsorship support to complete the entire season of Menards Infiniti Pro Series.
