Fike completes successful test at Kansas Speedway

Indianapolis, Ind. -- IRL Infiniti Pro Series driver and Pikes Peak winner Aaron Fike returned to the track, taking part in a test session at Kansas Speedway Monday, June 16.

Fike, of Galesburg, Ill., took to the 1.5-mile tri-oval during the hot afternoon hours. He turned more than 150 laps in preparation for the Aventis Racing For Kids 100 at Kansas Speedway.

"The test went well and the car was fast but we can always find more speed," Fike said. "The car responded well after we made several changes to the car. As the track got slower, our lap times stayed the same. We'll be in good shape when we return in July."

The USAC Midget standout will participate in a Pro Series test at Gateway International Raceway on Wednesday, June 18 before flying off to compete in the evening at a USAC Midget event in Attica, Ohio. And his schedule will not slow down until next week.

He is scheduled to be in a race car for the next four nights competing throughout Ohio in the Buckeye Nationals and ending his week at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisc.
